Open positions for Postdoctoral Researcher at the Chinese Institute for Brain Research, Beijing

Joji Tsunada Lab @ Chinese Institute for Brain Research


Postdoctoral researcher positions are available in the Tsunada Lab at the Chinese Institute for Brain Research, Beijing (CIBR, www.cibr.ac.cn). The Tsunada Lab is a new research group studying vocal communication and its disorders in humans and non-human primates (http://www.tsunada-lab.org/). We are looking for highly-motivated postdoctoral researchers who can take the lead in our research projects or want to develop a new research project with support from Dr. Tsunada to pursue their long-term research goals.


Ongoing research projects in Tsunada lab are:

- Vocal communication network and its dynamics

- Neural computations for the generation of complex calls

- Adaptive and flexible auditory and vocal behaviors

- Disorders in vocal production and communication

- Enrichment and animal welfare


Qualifications (required)

1) Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (English is the primary language used at CIBR).

2) PhD or equivalent experience and training.

3) Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work harmoniously with lab members.


Qualifications (preferred)

1) Prior lab experience in behavioral, psychological, computational, or neuroscience research.

2) Programming skills (e.g., matlab, python).

3) At least, one first-author paper published in an international journal.
